Viscardi Varsity Cougars Win Tourney
The Henry Viscardi School at The Viscardi Center, which serves children with severe physical disabilities, hosted its annual Wheelchair Basketball Sportsmanship Tournament. The Viscardi Varsity Cougars took the top prize.
John D. Kemp to Receive Dole Leadership Prize
The Viscardi Center’s President and CEO, John D. Kemp, will receive the 2014 Dole Leadership Prize on December 14th at the Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics at the University of Kansas. The Prize is awarded annually to an individual or group whose public service leadership inspires others.
"Who I Am" Public Service Announcement Premieres
The new "Who I Am" public service announcement from the Office of Disability Employment Policy's Campaign for Disability Employment is now available for viewing and downloading on the CDE website. “Who I Am” features nine real people with disabilities.

NBDC Hosts Workshop on Neurodiversity
The National Business & Disability Council (NBDC) at The Viscardi Center hosted an online workshop on neurodiversity.
Viscardi Awarded $1.8 Million in Funding from U.S. Dept. of Labor
The Viscardi Center was awarded a $1.8 million cooperative agreement from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Disability Employment Policy. The Viscardi Center will operate a national technical assistance center that will open up new employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Golf Outing Raises Funds for Employment Programs
The Viscardi Center held its second Golf Outing on September 9 at the prestigious Meadow Brook Club in Jericho where over 100 golfers teed off to raise critical funds for the Center’ programming.
